This website provides a travel information service for the North of Scotland, set in the context of a UK-wide lift sharing system. Its main purpose is to match journeys so that two (or more!) people can share one car, whether for a one-off trip or a regular journey to work, helping each other save money, fuel and - ultimately - the planet.

What is journey sharing?

Journey sharing is when two or more people travel together, usually by sharing a car or a taxi. This lets them benefit from the convenience of a car, whilst saving money and fuel, and reducing congestion and pollution.

JourneyShareCaithness.co.uk is available to anyone over 16 who wants to share journeys. It allows members to find out and contact other members who live nearby and may wish to make a particular journey at a similar time of day.

JourneyShareCaithness.co.uk can be used for sharing any type of journey, from a one-off shopping trip to a daily journey to and from work.
