JourneyShareCaithness is a website offering anyone travelling in the north of Scotland the chance to save money by sharing their journey with others, whether for an occasional visit, or for regular year-round work or shopping trips.

JourneyShareCaithness is a joint venture of two partners:

• Liftshare.com – a company specialising in web-based journey sharing throughout the UK;
• and the Caithness Partnership Transport Forum.

The way it works is like an up-to-date version of a community noticeboard, where anyone making a journey can find other people who are going in the same direction, and can share the costs of the journey with them. Being a web-based site, it can match journeys with far greater speed and accuracy than was possible in the past, with the bonus of linking into a wide range of nation-wide information. And the best thing is - it’s free!
